UNDERSTAND B-BBEE FOR YOUR BUSINESS
BEE was introduced to re-dress the inequalities of the past and create opportunities for the majority of people who lacked skills and access to the economy.
There are many advantages of being BEE compliant, with opportunity to submit tenders to government entities or private companies with a valid BEE certificate. It is advisable that a company has a BEE scorecard, as this is required by the new Preferential Procurement Act.
A further benefit of BEE verification a company is to compete with larger companies to become a preferred supplier. Preference is given as a BEE supplier on the database of various Municipalities and Government Organizations such as the SETA's.
